Will the Broncos-Chargers game be on TV this week?

The Denver Broncos were once 6-6 and right in the thick of a playoff battle, but three-straight ugly losses have ruined their season and set the stage for some major changes next week. They host the 11-4 Los Angeles Chargers in Week 17 in what will be a final and meaningless game for Denver and their disappointing 2018 campaign.

If you see YELLOW in your region in the map below, then you will get the Broncos-Chargers game on your local CBS station this weekend. Alaska and Hawaii, like most of the nation, is not in the yellow this week. In fact, Broncos Country is barely registering now and that is most disappointing.

The Broncos own a 65-51-1 all-time record against the Chargers that includes an impressive 40-17 home mark, but the Vance Joseph era is one of record-setting of the embarrassing kind. Last week, the franchise secured its first back-to-back losing season in 46 years and this week it could secure its first consecutive 10-loss season in 51 years.

Something tells me we’re in for more bad news before we get some good news on Monday. Even so, sweeping the playoff-bound Chargers would be an exciting caveat to a disappointing season and something this team can build on heading into next season.

The game will be called by Spero Dedes (play-by-play) and Adam Archuleta (analyst). Kickoff is set for 2:25 p.m. Mile High time on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Broncos Stadium at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
